Kahungye gorilla group is relatively a big gorilla group with 13 mountain gorilla individuals under the leadership of silverback Rumansi, kahungye gorilla group initially composed of 27 family members with 3 silverbacks until some members split from the group to form a new group called Busingye gorilla group.
Busingye gorilla group
Busingye gorilla group is a group of 9 mountain gorilla individuals with one silverback, three infants, two adults and many young ones, this gorilla group is a split family from kahungye gorilla group. Currently the group is under the leadership of a silverback Busingye, silverback Busingye is an ambitious silverback famous for his legendary fights. The group’s name is a local word meaning peace, this explains the peace prevailing in the group.
Bweza gorilla group
Bweza gorilla group is the most exciting mountain gorilla group in Rushaga gorilla trekking sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park, the group consists of 12 mountain gorilla gorillas including 2 Silverbacks, 4 black backs, 3 adult females, 1 sub-adult and two infants.
Nshongi gorilla group
Nshongi gorilla group is currently listed among the largest habituated families of mountain gorillas in the whole of Bwindi impenetrable national park, the group consists of 25 mountain gorilla members that is one silver back Nshongi the leader of the group, 2 sub silverbacks, 3 black backs, 6 adult females, 6 juveniles and 3 infants. Nshongi gorilla group is an extraordinary group to be ruled by a silver back who is not the oldest but there is peace in the group, initially the group was made up of 35 members but 10 10 members lead by Mishaya split from the group leaving it with only 25 members.
