Chobe national park
Chobe national park as known for being botswana’s first national park is located in the northen part of the country, it is all famous for being ecologically varied national park covering an area of 31,600 km2 makes is Botwana’s third largest national park next to central Kalahari national reserve and Gemsbok national park. Chobe national park is also famous for hosting the largest concentration of wildlife in the entire African continent. The park thrives as home to several lions which thrive as a result lots of food for them ranging from huge herds of elephants and other wildlife.
Chobe national park was formed in the year 1967 after being uplifted from the game reserve status to offer protection to the wildlife whose existence were being threatened by several factors, ranging from poaching to habitat loss. The park area was initially inhabited by the Bushmen known as the Bawswara people, who were simply hunter gatherers who gathered fruits, honey as well as hunted the wildlife in present chobe national park for meat and food.
