Masai Mara park fees: Masai Mara national reserve is one of the most fascinating national parks in Kenya famous for the phenomenon the great wildebeest migration, the reserve is locally known as The Mara and it is situated in the Trans Mara counties of Kenya. Parks fees to Masai Mara national park are stipulated by the Kenya Wildlife Services which is responsible for managing the park, these prices are paid at the park’s offices which are mostly situated at numerous entry points of the park and at the park’s headquarters.
Park entry fees
Park fees are charged to allow individuals entrance to Masai Mara national reserve and they are charged according to the status of the tourist that is citizens, residents and non-residents.

Annual park fees
Annual park fees in Masai Mara national reserve are charged with a validity of a full year, these fees are only eligible to residents of Kenya and corporations which are utility providers with installations within Kenya Wildlife Services managed parks and reserves.

Every safari activity offered in Masai Mara national reserve is a charged a fee as detailed below

Vehicles carrying tourists to Masai Mara national reserve for a safari are charged according to the number of seats and passengers they carry, these fees excludes individuals in the vehicle

All crafts landing in Masai Mara national reserve are charged a fee which charged according to the capacity of the aircraft.

Important points to note
- Park fees in Masai Mara national reserve are charged depending on the age and status of the tourists that is citizens, residents, foreign and citizens, the criteria is explained as below
Age
The criteria of age is divided into two that is children and adults
Children – are tourists/persons from the age of 3 years and below the age of 18 years
Adults – are tourists/ persons from the age of 18 years and above
The status of the tourists
The status of tourists is categorized into citizens, citizens, resident and foreigners as detailed below.
Citizens – are persons with citizenship of Kenya and in possession of a valid Kenya national ID or passport, the category of citizen also include citizens of East African Community member countries that are Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. These citizens have to be in possession of valid national IDs or passport of their respective countries.
Residents – are persons of other nationalists/ foreigners living in Kenya and posses valid documentation which are issued by the government of Kenya.
Non-residents/foreigners – are persons/tourists who are neither residents of Kenya and East African Community country member or have working permits and any other document from the government of Kenya.
Students – are individuals from a recognized secondary, government and private college or university aged to 23 years, these individuals have to be visiting Masai Mara national reserve with purpose of learning about the conservation. The visitation of the tourists have organized and documented by their institutions, the Kenya Wildlife Services requires a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice to issue a written authorization for the student’s visit. The category of students excludes students on personal safaris to Masai Mara national reserve.
- Mode of payment
Park payments are made at various Kenya wildlife services offices situated at the gates and park’s headquarter, the offices accepts payments methods of Mpesa, Visa Card, Direct deposits to KWS (Kenya Wildlife Services) and electronic Fund Transfers.
- Validity of park payments
Daily Fees – are meant for a single entry and they are valid for 24 hours and when your access expires you will be fined if you are found in the park while participating in any activity.
