6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Primates are humankind’s closest relative of all wildlife species. Day 1 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Transfer to Bwindi
The long awaited gorilla safari gets underway by 7.00 am when our guide reports at your agreed pick up point. Share a cup of hot coffee and get used to each other. You set off at 8.00am and your first stop is at equator line crossing area for photo opportunity, brief geographical study and breakfast. You will proceed and have lunch at Igongo cultural centre and may visit the museum to get historical facts about Uganda communities. The safari takes you to steep Kigezi hills with cool temperatures as you ascend thick forests of Bwindi early evening. Check in hotel to freshen up, shake off fatigue as dinner gets ready.
Day 2 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Gorilla Trekking
This is the d day of your gorilla trekking safari and begins in high spirits with a hot cup of coffee very early morning. You will get to park tourism office for registration, meeting fellow trekkers and get ranger guides to escort you. Trekking gorillas is such an exciting activity and those who undertake it rarely want to leave the jungles. You will therefore move with lunch boxes as you are not certain the time you will stay in jungles. Once located, you will spend approximately an hour with them depending on some factors like their current moods. Besides trekking the gorillas, the jungles are full to the brim with other wildlife worth learning about. Get back to hotel for late lunch, relax, shake off fatigue and memorise gorilla trek experiences. Take a guided afternoon community walk and interact with adorable people living closest to the gorillas.
Day 3 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park.
wake up to yet another day in the confine of bwindi, have your breakfast and transfer to queen Elizabeth national park, you may pass by ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions. if possible you can do a game drive in ishasha and transfer to queen Elizabeth. Arrive and check at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Kyambura Chimp tracking
Take an early cup of coffee and with lunch boxes check out the jungles sloping northwards onto the bed of rift valley. Your Uganda tour is shifting to Kyambura gorge where you will have a picnic lunch on steep cliffs hanging on an escarpment facing the gorge. Later on slope into the gorge and track families of habituated chimpanzees. This exercise is not as rigorous as gorilla trek and tracking chimpanzees takes slightly less time. Get to hotel and check in for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Game drive, transfer to Kibale
Take a very early morning cup of coffee and with packed lunch head to plain grasslands in search of more Uganda safari attractions; large mammal species. This is a natural habitat for lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, hippos and other larger mammals and most likely you may see a sizeable number of them in big herds. You will proceed to Kibale tourism office and have your picnic lunch under canopy of tropical rainforest. Then you will go for chimpanzee tracking in the jungles and interact with them as they go on their routine activities of the day. Most likely you will observe them make nests to sleep in overnight. You will get back early evening and head to hotel to relax and overnight stay.
Day 6 of 6 Days Primate Safari Gorilla Trekking, Chimps in Queen and Kibale park: Transfer to Kampala
Enjoy your morning sleep and shake off accumulated fatigue of gorilla trek and chimpanzee tracking safari to Uganda. Take breakfast at leisure and head Kampala 390km away by road. You will have lunch en route in Mubende town and arrive in Kampala early afternoon and guide drop you off at an agreed point to end your exciting primate Uganda safari.
