Day 1: transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Early in the morning after your breakfast, our safari guide will pick you from hotel and you will embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth national park situated at the foot hills of mountain Rwenzori in Kasese District through the masaka – mbarara highway. Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head for a game drive at Kasenyi plains. You will able to see the white colobus monkeys, Kobs, cape buffaloes, water bucks and several bird species.
Day 2: game viewing and launch cruise
Wake up early, take breakfast then start with a game view to Kasenyi plains. You are likely to see black and white colobus monkey, bush buck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes. A collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad billed roller, black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward. Return to lodge for lunch; then in afternoon go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel (2hrs) along Lake George-Lake Edward, come eye-eye with gaping hippos, crocodiles, leopards though infrequent. Ornithologists should look out for over 550 resident species like flamingos, red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, pink backed pelicans, water thick-knee, yellow billed stork, shoebill stock. Day 3: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale
After taking breakfast, depart from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park. Kibale is Kibale national Park has the highest concentration and variety of primates in East Africa with 13 species and overall 60 mammal species and so far offers the best excellent chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. Dine and sleep in Ndali Lodge (Luxury) / Primates Lodge (budget) HB
Day 4: chimpanzee tracking in Kanyanchu
After morning breakfast, wake up early to track chimps near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. There are primates in the area like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals involve forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species. Later take a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other bird 137 species. There is also an array of butterfly species. Day 5: transfer to Kampala
Enjoy breakfast at leisure and transfer back to Kampala. Stopover in Fort Portal where you can take lunch. This marks the end of the end of trip.
