Detailed itinerary for the safari
Day 1 of 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari: pick up from Kampala and transfer to bwindi forest national park.
Following your bwindi gorilla trekking safari, you guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or any place of your choice. You will later embark on a drive to bwindi impenetrable national park in an approximate 8 hours’ drive. You will pass thorugh Kampala masaka highway with your first stop at the equator statue in Kayabwe masaka road where you will get to do a water experiment to determine the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere. Later proceed to westwards toward until you make another stop in Mbarara for lunch a brief relaxation. Depart Mbarara proceed west wards to bwindi, when you start seeing the kigezi hill that will serve as a sign that you are about to arrive. Upon you arrival you will check in a t your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 of 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari: gorilla trekking and optional afternoon visit of the community.
In the morning, you will be picked from you lodge and transfer the park headquarters for briefing on the do and don’ts involving gorilla trekking, later be assigned a gorilla family to track from as well as rangers to accompany and guide you on the gorilla tracking exercise. Head to the jungles in search for the gorillas, not that it requires a certain degree of fitness to progress in your hikes in the jungles while on search for the gorillas. As you transcend the jungles, you come across other primates as well as wildlife species in the juggles which are more an incentive to the main gorilla trekking activity. As you transcend more in the jungles you may start hearing sounds of breaking tree branches which is a sign of gorillas. Upon seeing the gorillas, you will forget about the hustle you went through to meet them and simply to enjoy the moment interaction with them. You will be able to spend an hour with the gorillas while taking pictures and interacting with them. Later depart the juggles and head back to point where you will meet the guide and later head back to the lodge for lunch and a brief relaxation.
Later in the afternoon if you wish, you will embark on a visit to the community in to find out how the locals go about their life’s , get immersed into the life of the locals. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 : Transfer back to Kampala.
Early in the morning, have your breakfast and later board the vehicle and drive back to Kampala. You will arrive in time for flight back home or simply be dropped any place for dinner an overnight stay.
